Buderim's tree cover is the reason people live here and the reason so many rooms need help. Deep eaves, established trees and verandahs that wrap around the house all cut the daylight, so the interior lighting has to do more work than it would on an open block.

How do I brighten a dark room under a verandah?
Usually by spreading the light rather than adding one brighter fitting. Several well-placed downlights or wall lights give an even result, where a single central light just makes a bright patch and dark corners.
Can you light a long or sloping driveway?
Yes. Driveways and steps on Buderim's sloping blocks are regular work — low-level fittings along the edge are generally more useful, and far less glary, than one floodlight at the top.
