Can pendant lights be added over a kitchen island after the house is built?
Yes. It's a common job in newer homes — the roof space in a new build is usually accessible, which makes adding a new point above the bench reasonably straightforward.
Can builder-installed downlights be dimmed?
Often, but not always. The fitting and the dimmer have to be compatible, and some cheaper LED downlights don't dim cleanly at all. We'll check what's installed before recommending a dimmer.
